3.4.4. Top Dead Point (TDP) of the piston of the first cylinder

GENERAL INFORMATION

The top dead point of the piston is a point through which there passes each piston at a provorachivaniye of a bent shaft. Each piston reaches the provision of VMT at the end of a compression step, and then again at the end of an exhaust step. For the purpose of installation of the mechanism of gas distribution of the engine VMT of the piston of the first cylinder in a compression step is used. The N1 cylinder is from a gear belt. The bent shaft of the engine rotates clockwise if to look on the right side of the car.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator. For improvement of access to a pulley of a bent shaft tighten the emergency brake, lift a forward part of the car and record on supports.
2. To check an arrangement of cams of the camshaft, uncover a head of the block of cylinders or remove the vacuum pump of brakes, at the same time the opening for installation of the mechanism of gas distribution will be visible on distributive to a shaft.
3. Turn the engine a wrench for a pulley of a bent shaft before combination of an adjusting tag on a pulley of a bent shaft with the index. At the same time pistons of the first and fourth cylinders become in the top dead points.

4. To define what piston is in a compression step, check the provision of cams of the camshaft. If the piston of the first cylinder is in a compression step, cams of the first cylinder of the camshaft (are specified by shooters a photo at the left) will be directed up and the opening of installation of the mechanism of gas distribution (it is specified by an arrow a photo on the right) on the left side of the camshaft will be in the top family way. If cams of the first cylinder of the camshaft are directed down, turn a bent shaft of the engine on 360 °.
	5. Remove the sensor of provision of a bent shaft from the block of cylinders of the engine.
	6. For fixing of a bent shaft in situation when the piston of the first cylinder is in the top dead point in a compression step, establish a pin through an opening of the sensor of a bent shaft on a forward part of the block of cylinders.
