1.8. Multi - Info - the display - the On-board computer

GENERAL INFORMATION

The on-board computer of Opel informs on parameters of the movement which it constantly registers and in the electronic way analyzes.

Pressing of a key on the display displays the following functions:

– Momentanverbrauch (current fuel consumption);
– Durchschmttsverbrauch (average fuel consumption);
– Absolutverbrauch (full fuel consumption);
– Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit (average speed of the movement);
– Wegstrecke (the passable way);
– Reichweite (a course stock before refueling);
– Stoppuhr (stop watch);
– AuBentemperatur (external temperature).

Some functions are displayed on the display in the form of reductions.
Messages of the Check-Control function always have advantage.

Control of the on-board computer is exercised of two keys on the screen wiper switch lever.
Key S – the function choice.
To press, the necessary function will not be displayed yet.
Key R – dumping.

At display of functions

– average fuel consumption;
– full fuel consumption;
– average speed of the movement;
– the passable way

there is their simultaneous start by pressing a key R (not less than 2 sec.).

The data which are earlier written down in memory will be automatically erased, at the same time there will be a dumping of a stop watch on zero value. The stock of the course pays off anew.

The current fuel consumption and external temperature are not dumped.

Current fuel consumption

Indication changes depending on the speed of the movement.
Indication in l/hour is lower than 13 km/h.
Indication in l / 100 km over 13 km/h.
Indication 0l/100 km in the absence of pressing an accelerator pedal.

Average fuel consumption

Calculation of average fuel consumption can be begun anew at any time, for example, after fuelling, by pressing a key R.
Indication in l / 100 km.

Full fuel consumption

Indication of the spent amount of fuel. Measurement can be begun anew at any time by pressing a key R.
Indication in liters.

Average speed of the movement

Calculation of average speed of the movement can be begun anew at any time, for example, after a start of motion, by pressing a key R.
Breaks in the movement with switching off of ignition when calculating are not considered.
Indication in kilometers per hour.

The passable way

Indication of the passable kilometers of a way. Measurement can be begun by pressing the R gestartet werden key.

Course stock more than 50 km

The stock of the course pays, proceeding from the current stock and average fuel consumption for the last 20–30 kilometers of the passable way.
After fuelling, new value of a stock of the course is displayed or by means of pressing a key P, or it automatically is established through several kilometers of the passable way.

Course stock less than 50 km

Indication switches to function "Reichweite" ("A course stock") without pressing a key S if the fuel reserve in a tank is enough less than for 50 km. Indication blinks.

By the choice of other function, this precautionary function is switched off. Repeated automatic switching to function "Reichweite" ("A course stock") is carried out after interruption of a trip.

Stop watch

By pressing a key R switching zero – start – stop – zero is carried out...
Definition of time spent in way: switching off of ignition leads to a stop watch stop. At inclusion of ignition the stop watch will continue the work.

External temperature

The going-down temperature is displayed immediately, raising – with a delay. At inclusion of ignition indication automatically switches to function "AuBentemperatur" ("External temperature").
For the warning of frosting of the road indication at a temperature below 3 °C automatically switches to function "AuBentemperatur" ("External temperature") and blinks.

By the choice of other function this precautionary function is switched off. At a temperature below -5 °C indication of external temperature does not blink.
