3.3.4. Top Dead Point (TDP) of the piston of the first cylinder

GENERAL INFORMATION

The top dead point of the piston is a point through which there passes each piston at a provorachivaniye of a bent shaft. Each piston reaches the provision of VMT at the end of a compression step, and then again at the end of an exhaust step. For the purpose of installation of the mechanism of gas distribution of the engine VMT of the piston of the first cylinder in a compression step is used. The N1 cylinder is from a gear belt. The bent shaft of the engine rotates clockwise if to look on the right side of the car.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a negative wire from the accumulator. Lift a forward part of the car and record on supports. Remove the right forward wheel.
2. Remove the top casing of a gear belt.
3. Turn the engine a wrench for a pulley of a bent shaft clockwise. Rotate a bent shaft until the tag on a pulley of a bent shaft is not combined with the index on the basis of the oil pump.
4. To define that the first or fourth piston is in the top dead point, check the provision of adjusting openings in pulleys of the fuel pump and camshaft. When the piston of the first cylinder is in the top dead point in a compression step, both openings of a pulley will be combined with openings under the screw in a head of the block of cylinders.
5. At installation of the piston of the first cylinder in VMT if it is necessary, it is possible to record pulleys of the fuel pump or camshaft for what screw in M6 bolt (a photo at the left) through a camshaft pulley in a head of the block of cylinders and a bolt of M8 (a photo on the right) through a pulley of the fuel pump in the block of cylinders.
