Prevention

At installation of the thermostat it is necessary to establish a new sealing ring.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Merge cooling liquid from the cooling system.
3. Weaken a collar and disconnect the top hose from a thermostat casing on the right side of the engine.
4. Take off a gear belt, an intermediate pulley, a pulley of the camshaft and a back casing of a gear belt.
5. Unscrew bolts and uncover the thermostat a head of the block of cylinders.
6. Take the thermostat from a casing and remove a sealing ring.

Check
A rough inspection of the thermostat can be carried out, having suspended it on a thread in the glass vessel filled with water and heating water to boiling. When boiling water the thermostat has to open. Otherwise replace it.

Temperature of opening of the thermostat is put on the thermostat.

The thermostat which is not closed when cooling water is also subject to replacement.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clear the interfaced surfaces of a cover of the thermostat and a head of the block of cylinders.
2. Install the thermostat in a head of the block of cylinders together with a new sealing ring.
3. Establish a cover of the thermostat and fix by bolts.
4. Establish a back casing of a gear belt, a camshaft pulley, a gear belt and an intermediate pulley.
5. Connect the top hose to the thermostat and fix by a collar.
6. Fill in cooling liquid in the cooling system.
7. Connect the accumulator.

PETROL DOCH 1.6, 1.8 AND 2,0 ENGINES L

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Merge cooling liquid from the cooling system.
