5.2.18. Final collector

Removal and installation

ENGINES OF 1,7 L

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The final collector acts together with a turbocharger. Lift a forward part of the car and record on supports. Remove an engine mudguard.
2. Remove the radiator fan.
3. Remove the inlet air channel of a turbocharger.
4. Unscrew bolts of fastening of a pipe of an air inlet of the heat exchanger to a collector and a head of the block of cylinders and separate a pipe from a collector. Weaken a collar and remove an air inlet pipe from the engine.
5. Weaken collars and remove the pipe connecting a turbocharger to the heat exchanger.
6. Weaken collars and remove pipes of supply of cooling liquid to a turbocharger from the case of the water pump and the thermostat. Exempt hoses from fastening brackets in order that they could be removed together with a collector.
7. Unscrew bolts and remove the heat-resistant screen of a turbocharger.
8. Unscrew nuts and disconnect a reception exhaust pipe from a turbocharger.
9. Unscrew a bolt and remove a pipe of supply of oil to a turbocharger from the block of cylinders. Weaken a collar and remove an oil return hose.
10. Unscrew bolts and remove the supporting arm from a side part of a turbocharger.
11. Evenly and gradually in the diagonal sequence unscrew bolts and nuts of fastening of a final collector (are specified by shooters). Remove a final collector together with a turbocharger.
12. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal taking into account the next moments:

 – replace all laying;
 – check levels of engine oil and cooling liquid;
 – before the first start of the engine disconnect the electric socket from the electromagnetic valve of a stop of the engine and turn the engine a starter until the lamp of pressure of oil does not go out therefore engine oil will be given to turbocharger bearings before start of the engine. Repeatedly connect the electric socket of the electromagnetic valve of a stop of the engine.

ENGINES OF 2,0 L

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator. Unscrew screws and remove a plastic casing from the top part of a head of the block of cylinders.
2. Remove an air supply pipe from a casing of the air filter and remove the metal pipe connecting a turbocharger to the heat exchanger.
3. Unscrew nuts (A) and remove wires (V) from incandescence candles.
4. Unscrew screws of fastening of the heat-resistant screen (are specified by shooters).
5. Remove the heat-resistant screen from the top part of a collector.
6. Unscrew the nuts fixing a reception exhaust pipe to a collector and move a pipe from a collector.
7. Under the car unscrew bolts and remove the heat-resistant screen of a starter.
8. Unscrew bolts and remove a guide of a plait of wires from a back part of the block of cylinders.
9. Unscrew oil pipes of a turbocharger from the block of cylinders.
10. Unscrew bolts and remove an arm, supports of a collector. Disconnect a vacuum hose from a turbocharger gate diaphragm.
11. Evenly and in the diagonal sequence unscrew nuts of fastening of a final collector. Remove a final collector together with a turbocharger.
12. Remove laying of a final collector.
13. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal taking into account the next moments:

 – replace all laying;
 – check and, if necessary, add engine oil and cooling liquid;
 – at the first start of the engine the engine has to work several minutes at single turns therefore oil will arrive to turbocharger bearings.
