Removal

ENGINES OF 1,7 L

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator. For improvement of access disconnect a hose of ventilation of a case from a back part of a cover of a head.

2. Unscrew the nuts fixing the tire of giving of tension to glow plugs and remove the tire from glow plugs.

3. Unscrew glow plugs.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator. For improvement of access remove the pipe connecting a turbocharger and a collector.

2. On early models unscrew the nuts fixing the tire of giving of tension to each glow plug (a photo at the left), and remove the tire of giving of tension (a photo on the right).
	3. On later models disconnect electric sockets from glow plugs.
4. Unscrew glow plugs from a head of the block of cylinders.

Check

Check each glow plug for existence of mechanical damages. The burned or destroyed tips of a glow plug can be from a bad stream of dispersion of fuel a nozzle. If there is such damage it is necessary to check and if necessary to replace fuel nozzles.

If glow plugs have no mechanical damages, check their electric resistance which owes life less than 1 Ohm.

Operability of candles of an incandescence can be checked, giving on them 12 volts. At the same time they have to heat up evenly and for the required time interval. At the same time it is necessary to observe precautions:

To hold a glow plug a special clip or flat-nose pliers.

The electric power-supply circuit of a glow plug has to have the fuse.

After check the glow plug has to be cooled within several minutes.

The glow plug in good shape heats up to reddening of the working horseman within 5 seconds. At longer heating or heating in a middle part, but not on the end of a candle the candle is faulty and is subject to replacement.
