6.2.3. Starter

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator. Lift a forward part of the car and record on supports. Remove an engine mudguard.
Petrol engine of 1,6 l
2. Unscrew two nuts and remove wires from contacts of the traction relay.
3. Unscrew a nut and remove the grounding tire from the top bolt of a starter.
4. Unscrew bolts of fastening and take a starter from under the car.
Petrol engines 1,8 and 2,0 of l
5. Unscrew bolts and remove an arm of support of an inlet collector.
6. Unscrew two nuts and remove wires from contacts of the traction relay.
7. Unscrew bolts and take a starter from the lower part of a motor compartment.
Diesel engine of 1,7 l
8. Unscrew two nuts and remove wires from contacts of the traction relay.
9. Unscrew bolts and take a starter from the lower part of a motor compartment.
Diesel engine of 2,0 l
10. For improvement of access to a starter remove a reception exhaust pipe.
11. Unscrew bolts and remove the heat-resistant screen of a starter.
12. Unscrew bolts and remove an arm of support of an inlet collector.
13. Unscrew two nuts and disconnect wires from contacts of the traction relay.
14. Unscrew nuts and bolts and remove an arm of support of a back part of a starter.
15. Unscrew bolts of fastening and take a starter from the lower part of a motor compartment.

Installation

Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.
