11.1.19. Safety cushion elements

SAFETY CUSHION FROM THE DRIVER

Safety cushion – an integral part of the central part of a steering wheel.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Deactivate system of a safety cushion.
2. Establish forward wheels for the movement directly forward.
3. Unscrew two screws located from the back party of a steering wheel and raise a safety cushion from a steering wheel.
4. Disconnect the electric socket from a safety cushion.
5. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.

CONTACT OF THE SAFETY CUSHION

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the airbag of the driver.
2. Remove a steering wheel.
3. Remove casings of a steering column.
4. Using the small screw-driver, lift an emphasis, then disconnect contact of a wire.
5. Release 4 back brackets.
6. Remove the contact block from the top part of a steering column. Check that halves of the block of contact remain in the central situation and shooters are established in the basis.
7. Before installation of the block of contact check that it is in the central situation. Press a clamp on the top part of the block and turn an internal part of the block counterclockwise before emergence of obvious resistance. Now turn an internal part of the block of contact on 1,5 turns clockwise and combine arrows of the central part and the case of the block.
8. If the new block of contact is installed, at first remove a transport bracket.
9. Install the block of contacts on a steering column and press it before fixing by fastening brackets.
10. Connect an electrical wiring when pressing an emphasis.
11. Establish casings of a steering column.
12. Establish a steering wheel.
13. Establish a safety cushion.

ELECTRONIC CONTROL DEVICE

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Deactivate system of a safety cushion.
2. Remove the central console.
3. Disconnect the electric socket from the control unit, then unscrew nuts and remove the block from an internal part of the car.
4. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.

SIDE SENSOR OF THE SAFETY CUSHION

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Deactivate system of a safety cushion.
2. Remove an upholstery of a forward door.
3. Remove a protective film from a forward door for access to the sensor.
4. Disconnect the electric socket, unscrew bolts and remove the sensor.
5. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.
