Repair and operation of the car

The safety airbag from the driver is installed as the standard equipment on all models. The safety cushion is established in the center of a steering wheel. The security system joins at inclusion of ignition and becomes more active the delay sensor which is switched on in the electronic control device. The electronic control device also operates tension devices of seat belts of forward sitting. At malfunction of a security system on a combination of devices the emergency bulb lights up.

Precautions

When performing any works on the car equipped with the safety airbag during the moving and storage of a safety cushion it is necessary to observe the following precautions:

  – not to disconnect the accumulator at the working engine;
  – when performing any works on a security system or carrying out electric welding on the car deactivate a security system;
  – if the lamp of the alarm system of a security system burns, it is necessary to address immediately on service station;
  – it is necessary to transport the safety airbag separately, a bag up;
  – when transporting not to place a hand on a safety cushion;
  – not to throw a safety cushion;
  – not to sort a safety cushion;
  – to exclude hit on a safety cushion of solvents or the clearing substances;
  – not to subject a safety cushion to influence of temperature over 90 °C;
  – not to allow contact of a safety cushion with an open flame;
  – do not install on the car a safety cushion with defects or damages.

Deactivation of a security system

During the work with elements of a security system deactivate the airbag as follows:

  – switch off ignition;
  – take the ignition key from the ignition lock;
  – switch off all electric equipment;
  – remove a negative wire from the accumulator;
  – isolate the negative plug of the accumulator;
  – before performance of further works wait at least 1 minute what will allow to be discharged to the security system condenser.
