1. Remove a power shaft. Remove the hinge of equal angular speeds from a power shaft. If replacement of two protective covers is necessary, remove only one hinge of equal angular speeds and a quencher of tortional fluctuations from a power shaft.
2. Remove collars of fastening of protective covers and shift a protective cover from a power shaft.
3. Clean old lubricant from the hinge of equal angular speeds and fill the hinge with new lubricant.

The internal flange of a protective cover has to be at distance of 135 mm from the end of a power shaft. If on driving to a shaft there are two flutes, the internal flange of a protective cover needs to be established at distance 123 mm from the end of a power shaft.
5. Fill with fresh lubricant the hinge of equal angular speeds.
6. Install the hinge of equal angular speeds with a new lock ring on a power shaft. At the same time the lock ring has to be recorded accurately in a flute of a power shaft.
