3.5.10. Removal of a bent shaft

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

At installation of covers of bearings of a bent shaft it is necessary to use new bolts.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
Petrol engine of 1,6 l
1. Remove the oil pump and a flywheel.
2. Remove pistons and rods.
3. Check an axial side play of a bent shaft.
4. Mark covers of radical bearings from 1 to 5.
5. Gradually and consistently unscrew bolts of fastening of covers of radical bearings.
6. Uncover radical bearings together with inserts.
7. Remove a bent shaft and remove back oil sealing ring of a bent shaft.
8. Remove the top inserts of radical bearings.
Petrol engines 1,8 and 2,0 of l
9. Remove a flywheel and the oil pump.
10. Unscrew screws and remove a partition from the basis of the block of cylinders.
11. Evenly and gradually unscrew bolts of fastening of the main block of bearings from the block of cylinders.
12. Remove pistons and rods.
13. Check an axial side play of a bent shaft.
14. Mark covers of radical bearings from 1 to 5.
15. Gradually and consistently unscrew bolts of fastening of covers of radical bearings.
16. Uncover radical bearings together with inserts.
17. Remove a bent shaft and remove back oil sealing ring of a bent shaft.
18. Remove the top inserts of radical bearings.
Diesel engines of 1,7 l
19. Remove a flywheel and unscrew a bolt of fastening of a cover of the oil pump on the right side of the block of cylinders of the engine.
20. Unscrew bolts and remove a back cover of a bent shaft.
21. Remove pistons and rods.
22. Check an axial side play of a bent shaft.
23. Mark covers of radical bearings from 1 to 5.
24. Gradually and consistently unscrew bolts of fastening of covers of radical bearings.
25. Uncover radical bearings together with inserts.
26. Remove a bent shaft and remove a back oil sealing ring of a bent shaft.
27. Remove the top inserts of radical bearings.
28. Remove the persistent half rings located from two parties of a cover of the radical N2 bearing.
Diesel engine of 2,0 l
29. Remove an asterisk of a bent shaft, a chain and a flywheel.
30. Evenly and gradually unscrew bolts and remove the main block of bearings from the basis of covers of radical bearings.
31. Remove pistons and rods.
32. Check an axial side play of a bent shaft.
33. Mark covers of radical bearings from 1 to 5 (on diesel engines of 2,0 l only covers of N1 and 2 bearings have factory marking).
34. Gradually and consistently unscrew bolts of fastening of covers of radical bearings.
35. Uncover radical bearings together with inserts.
36. Remove a bent shaft and remove a back oil sealing ring of a bent shaft. Remove the top inserts of radical bearings.
